Stakeholder Consultation for NCCF TOF Certification: Evaluation of Jammu and Kashmir Poplar Farming Association (Oct 3 – Nov 3, 2024)

Stakeholder consultation is a significant part of Full evaluation audit regarding NCCF ToF certification scheme.

Jammu and Kashmir Poplar Farming Association ( JKPFA) has shown interest to get their procurement area certified under NCCF ToF certification scheme by GICIA India Pvt. Ltd (GIPL), a certification body based in Noida, UP. 

In this view NCCF is scheduling 30 days online public consultation starting from 03rd October 2024 till 3rd November 2024.

We invite stakeholders to meet with the audit team or submit their written submissions in this regard preferably within this time-period. The concerned stakeholders can reach to the GIPL contact Person, Mr. Varun Dutta Gupta available at  nrd@gicia.org to submit their opinion/feedback as per the following guidelines:

  • Stakeholders may inform GIPL, the Certification Body about the applicants’s management practices which may violate NCCF ToF Certification standards and/or any National laws/regulations.
  • Stakeholders intended to meet in person with the audit team may submit their interest along with their contact details to GIPL. They’ll get back to you to schedule a stakeholder’s meeting/interview on the field or over the phone.
  • The audit team, GIPL shall review the feedback received from stakeholders and will inquire into it with an evidence-based approach, collected during audit. wherever necessary, audit team shall issue the non-conformance to the applicant on account of the evidence collected.

Full evaluation Audit details:

  • Tentative Dates of audit: Mid-November 2024
  • Species & Sites to be audited: Wood of Populus nigra, Populus pamirica, Populus deltoides, and  Populus spp across Farmers/houeholds in multiple districts in Jammu and Kashmir
  • Description of evaluation area: Urban trees of Populus spp (Populus nigra, Populus pamirica, Populus deltoides) in farmer households under the across Kupwara, Bandipora, Baramula, Ganderbal, Srinagar, Badgam, Pulwama, Shopian, Anantnag, Kulgam districts in Jammu & Kasmir.
  • Type of TOF area: Agroforests in non-block like linear, isolated, scattered and bund trees
